@rick ... There's really no "direct upgrade" path for the old PIAF-Green. It's good that you're able to get it running, even with a daily restart. But that's really the good part!

My recommendation (and I'm sure the recommendation of others) is to build a new, latest-edition PIAF, like the IncrediblePBX 13-13 that you'll find here. Choose from the variety of offerings - and depending on the size of your installation and the volume of calls, the RasPi versions might be suitable for you rather than the "heavier metal" options. (Personally, I like the "lean" version of 13-13 ... it produces a "cleaner" installation, but without the bells and whistles that @wardmundy has faithfully added to every version of PIAF since the early days of PIAF.)

Get the replacement system operational, and then do cut-and-paste from the marginally functional PIAF-Green system to the new system, and you should be reliably operational in short order.

@rick

Have to agree Backup everything you can with TAR in case you need to dig through some things and move the files to another system,

Back up any customer voice files and voicemail boxes you need to save with tar and also move them.

Start clean with a version of 13-13 and build from scratch on new harder or at least a new platter --
It's not worth your time to -- :beatdeadhorse5:

Thanks for the response and planning to make a backup this weekend and then try to repair database. Afterwards move to the latest version. Will report back with the results. Thank you again.

Able to repair db using the following commands:

service mysqld stop
rm -Rf /var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock
service mysqld start

This allows the GUI interface to work and make backups of config. The rebuild is next.
thanks
