I need to backup and restore to the new Incredible PBX platform from 2.0.6.4 from FreePBX, 2.10.1.19. I can then backup the v2 system and restore to the new one.

The only method I've found is this one... that doesn't work.http://wiki.freepbx.org/display/FOP/Manually+Upgrading+the+FreePBX+GUI.

Can anyone provide links to articles that provides a working upgrade method?

amportal a ma upgrade framework (doesn't work)
amportal a ma upgrade core
amportal a ma upgradeall
or
amportal a ma upgradeall
amportal a m
update admin set value = '13.0.0alpha1' where variable = 'version';
exit
amportal a ma upgrade framework (doesn't work)
fwconsole --fix_zend
fwconsole ma upgrade core
fwconsole ma disable backup
fwconsole ma download backup
fwconsole ma install backup

You'll likely find this doesn't work. The procedure I use is:

Setup new system
Export extensions and DID's using the bulk import/export FreePBX tool from old system
Manually copy Trunks and IVR/other system settings
Import extensions and DID's from export above
Verify.

On average I find this method takes about 1 to 2 hours and works.

The key to migration is getting both servers up to the same release of FreePBX. Then do the backup and restore to the new server. You cannot move from 2.10 on one server to version 12 on the other one.

Thanks I'll work on this, unless I can find the easier way to do it, that Ward wrote about. The problem that Ward thinks is fixable is to upgrade FreePBX. I'll do it the way you suggest unless Ward (or someone) posts specific links. Thanks.

I exported Export extensions and DID's using the bulk import/export FreePBX tool from old system and attempted to restore to the IncrediblePBX but nothing was imported.

Can you know the specific Path/DB backup items that meets the Export extensions and DIDs such as -
__ASTVARLIBDIR__/sounds/custom
__ASTSPOOLDIR__/voicemail
__ASTVARLIBDIR__/moh

and so on.

Change the first field in the bulk import export to add instead of edit.

/var/spool/asterisk usually

/var/lib/asterisk/sounds/custom i think - something lik ethat.
