I have a recent install of Incredible PBX 13.0.192.19 on Ubuntu 16.04 KVM
In the GUI, if I update the Call Park settings then click on Submit, the setting are not saving. I have searched the forum for a fix but don't find an answer. I did try a newer module 13.0.19.11 but that did not help. Everthing else is working good except for the park settings. I am no expert with this so any help is appreciated.
All I need to do is change the settings in the alternate destination section.
Thanks

Same thing. I have restarted several times. I also tried an older version of the parking module, but still have the same issue. I don't think the problem is in the module. Seems that the GUI is not saving the changes for parking. The issue is that if I park a call and don't answer the ring back, then the call is terminated and hung up. I need it to go to ringall so someone can pickup the ringback. Or at least go to the IVR. I would never want it to just hang up.
Thanks

Sorry - I misread then. Under your parking lot, you need to pay attention to Parking Timeout - I often change this to a more realistic number like 180 or 240 (3 or 4 minutes).
Next you need at the end, the Alternate Destination - I almost always set it to YES - come back to origin .. this insures that the person that placed the call on hold has the opportunity to grab the call first. Then set the destination typically to a ring group so that SOMEONE gets that call returned.

The problem is, I can make all those changes and click Submit. The page refreshes and goes back to the default settings. It is Not saving my changes. I also never get the red button in the upper right corner.
Thanks

Check Admin - Administrators - I bet your user that you are using to modify items in FreePBX does not have the "Apply Changes Bar" section or better yet, "ALL SECTIONS" enabled ??

Sounds like you do not have sufficient rights to modify the parking settings.

If you do, then I would check the individual config file. That's most of what FreePBX is anyhow, is a method to update those configs. I THINK that parking setups exist in /etc/asterisk/extensions_additional.conf .... I think you want to look for something like:

[park-orphan-routing]
include => park-orphan-routing-custom
exten => 70,1,Goto(ext-group,600,1)

;--== end of [park-orphan-routing] ==--;

All Sections are enabled for my login.
krzykat, The conf file settings that you provided worked great. I also changed the same setting in the [park-return-routing] section.
I have another question. I want the choice for "Come Back to Origin" to be set to NO. Is that setting in the conf file under
[park-return-routing]
exten => 70,n,SET(PARCALLBACK=)

If so, what should be after = so that it is set to NO ? I would assume NO but it could be numeric?
Is it ok to edit this conf file? There is a warning to not edit this file at the very top. Will these setting stay after a reboot?
Thanks for your help.

NO - it's not OK - LOL. Any time you save and update settings, it will be overwritten. You could always change extensions_additional_custom ... and that would stick, but you're really going around a bigger problem you have. So you know your system works properly, its just that you aren't able to save and update in FreePBX. Are you able to update other items there? (And note ... if you do, then do save and apply .. it will overwrite your file). Sounds like something is messed up there. Actually, now that I think about it ... do your changes to parking show on the FreePBX portal, but you just don't get an opportunity to apply them? If not, why not try to edit an extension ... just do Save, and then Apply (assuming it shows) - and that should reload all config files putting things how you desire.

I can save and update in FreePBX everywhere except Parking. I have tried all the settings in Parking and none of them will save. I can click the SUBMIT button but the Update button never shows and the changes that I made all go back to the default settings after I click the Submit button. I have done the edit to an extension and Saved/Apply but the Parking settings still do not change or update.
I will put my conf file changes in the extensions_additional_custom, i just need to know how to Not return to origin and go straight to ext-group,600 instead.
I am pretty sure that I can make a change in [park-return-routing] but not sure what to change. Any suggestions?
Thanks again for your help.

I have a suggestion but only if you know how to uninstall and reinstall FreePBX modules: From you FreePBX admin, go to the ADMIN > MODULES ADMIN. Go down to the Parking Lot module, click the > to open up the options. Click UNINSTALL and then go to the top of the screen and press "PROCESS". After that, reinstall the module.

Sometimes the permissions just get messed up and by reinstalling the module, things get straightened out. I'd recommend restarting Asterisk after you reinstall the parking module.

I did try your suggestion, still have the same problem. I also tried installing other version of the Parking Module and restarting after each install. But that does not fix the issue.
Thanks for trying to help

I put the new settings in extensions_override_freepbx.conf then restarted and parking is working like I want it to. Just can not make changes in web page.
Thanks for helping.

If you have the chance, I would recommend rebuilding and try the updates with call park on that one. If you are having issues now with FreePBX settings, I would think you'd want to try to correct them now before you get more complicated with your system while you can. While you can manipulate things with the config files, that's really the purpose of FreePBX with some customization exceptions. Glad you have things working.

I do plan on rebuilding on CentOS vm in the near future when I have the time. This pbx is for a busy office with 20 extensions, algo pager, custom IVR recordings, Day and Nite mode, custom hold recording. A lot of settings that are already done. So it will take me a while.
Thanks

I am having the same exact problem with 13-13 on Ubuntu 18.04 installed on bare metal. Like the OP, the parking module is the only one I am having trouble with. I'm trying to change 45 seconds to 300.

Follow on:

Just did a fresh install on the bench with different older (but similar) hardware, and the latest download of Ubuntu server 18.04.2, followed the nerdvittles article to a T, and still get the same result: Settings on the Call Park page pop back to their defaults as soon as the Submit button is clicked.

Since the original server I had a problem with is in production, I did a backup and restored it to a RasPi version of 13-13.10 and not only did it restore (I wasn't sure if that would work or not), but Call Park settings work just fine :)

Permissions problem somewhere?

Thanks randy7376, but still no joy.
I have changed that setting in res_parking_custom.conf, so hopefully if I got the syntax right it will work. :)
