It's been a while since I've been on these forums. So much so, my old account no longer worked. :) I have ran an PIAF/IncrediblePBX system since 2012 with this this type of setup with no problem until recently my system decided it wanted to retire. Yes, I have a backup but not sure I could figure out how to restore. Anyways, I'm trying to start from scratch with the latest version of Incredible PBX 13 and can't get this to work. I've updated my accounts to the OAUTH. Not sure if this has anything to do with my problem.

I have three Google Voice accounts (for explanation, we'll call these Account01, Account02, Account03).

Account01 = Main PBX number. When you call this number you get the IVR.
Account02 = Fax. This number goes straight to HylaFax for Inbound/Outbound faxing.

This part works just as it did in my Incredible 3 system circa 2012.

Account03 = This routes to extension 701 and rings my physical Nortel VoIP phone. I also use this account on my iPhone as it is my main phone number. I use the GoogleVoice app on my iPhone.

When I have Account03 registered and connected in Incredible PBX, it will ring extension 701 as expected, but never simultaneously rings my iPhone. Once I've logged out of the account from the PBX it begins ringing my iPhone again. This always has worked in the past. Curious if something changed or maybe I don't have it setup correctly. If there is a better way to handle this I would appreciate any assistance. I like this system because if the PBX was done for whatever reason, I still received the call on my cell phone.

Surprised nobody has ran into this one! I guess I'm the only one that uses the Google Voice app on their cell phone. I just set up another IncrediblePBX 13 system with Plain Text and used a Google Voice number that I hadn't converted to OAUTH. Same result. Once the account is logged into on Incredible, the phone only rings to Incredible and no longer on my cell. Next step is to go back to my old PIAF 2 system and configure it the same there. Maybe this new Google Voice module is screwing it up...

I had seen that, but didn't think it was the same as my situation.

"All GV endpoints ring until someone picks up."

All my GV endpoints (cell phone) is not ringing at all.

I guess this is no longer possible with this iteration of the Google Voice plugin. It's a shame if that's true. I guess I'll go back to FreePBX.

It all depends on your dial plan. If the dial plan for incoming GV calls includes an Answer() then it will take over the call and other GV targets won't ring. If the call isn't actually Answer()'ed until someone picks up an extension, then the other GV targets will ring also.

Bill - Thanks for the response. I don't have anything custom. This is a vanilla Incredible PBX 13 install. I simply added (1) Google Voice number and then changed the default Inbound Route to go to extension 701. In the past, this setup would allow it to ring both my cell phone and my VoIP phone (Nortel).

May be a change in default behavior between versions. I don't have it in front of me now to compare. Review the extensions_additional.conf file to see.

I had a similar issue with a WAY older setup (I think Asterisk 9 and PBXIAF {don't remember}).... and basically the issue came down to the GV app doesn't ring, because the PBX answers. Once the PBX Starts routing the inbound call, it's outside (or at least was) of Googles control... essentially Google won't "take the call back". I'm in process of replacing my old system (set up in like 2012) with the lastest Pi image of incrediblepbx.... I'll try it again :D

Reviving an old thread of mine to report that I finally got this working again! Huzzah!

I had given up on Incredible/PIAF. I had a need for a home VoIP phone/PBX again because I work from home 80% and it sucks calling into conference calls from your cell. Anyways, I should have heeded Brian Kelly's link...the answer was there all along. Put a check mark next to "Send Unanswered to Google Voicemail" and it will simultaneously ring both your iPhone and your PBX. The PBX usually rings first for one ring. I'm now up and running with the latest Whole Enchilada 13-13 build on CentOS 7. So far, so good...just need to learn this new interface.
