Multiple bluetooth adapters can be supported.

Use a Bluetooth Headset as extension using Dial(CELL/device) in the dialplan.
Application CellStatus can be used in the dialplan to see if a cell phone is connected.

A second vote for this (can I vote more than once ;-) )

Everyone else, this makes it possible, amongst other things, to add another cell phone to a family plan and leave it near the Asterisk box with a bluetooth adapter plugged into it. Then you can forward calls to your (other) cell phone as an 'in network' call, or, use DISA to call into your Asterisk box via the extra cell phone, also in-network, and then call the rest of your non 'in-network' universe.

Nice find

I've been searching this for a few years and found some sites that claim they have a solution but most were unusable or for only specific phones. I'm glad to see Digium doing something. I met Mark Spencer a couple of weeks ago and we got into some technical details on the new Speakvox and I mentioned bluetooth trunking and he had a strange reaction. Like i slipped a big secret.

Really useful feature
Oh, I double, triple and quadriple that. There is really a big need for Bluetooth script that would make DBT-120 work with a cell phone as an FXO channel. In fact, I e-mailed Ward about it in an attempt to encourage him.

So did I!

Check this out: http://nerdvittles.com/index.php?p=188
It was written in response to that e-mail I sent.

Useful, (in-fact i was doing a smaller variation of it before the post) I'm using the techniques in the post now.

Ward's a great guy. Glad to have him working on the Asterisk product that I've been behind since late 2003.
