Asterisk Voicemail for iPhone Using Smarty
Here is a first cut at implementing Chris Carey's Asterisk Visual Voicemail for the iPhone.

Complete documentation is here.

Installation:
Log into your PBX in a Flash server as root and issue the following commands:
Code:
cd /root
wget http://bestof.nerdvittles.com/applications/iphone/iphone.pbx
chmod +x iphone.pbx
./iphone.pbx
Usage:
After making certain that port 80 on your firewall is mapped to your PBX in a Flash server, call up the web browser on your iPhone and go to --> http://ipaddress/iphone/

You also can test this using a normal web browser on your private network.

I haven't got an iPhone to test with, but a question:

Assuming this is v.09 as reported, is it safe to copy over the latest v.11?

v.11 is a week old, whereas v.10 is dated April 5th... v.09 on the otherhand is labeled as 'depreciated' with a release date of March 15th. Again, I'd just give it a shot myself, but I don't have an iPhone to say yay/nay.

Gotsta find somebody with one now...

Works great for most features. The only problem I'm seeing is when I try to Log Out. I get a message stating that the server can't be reached. All other options work great!

I'm seeing 127.0.0.1 show up briefly in the address bar of my iPhone when I touch Log Out. I'm guessing that's where the problem lies with the server connection.

Other than that minor glitch, this is a very good and useful application IMHO.

On my iPhone, when I hit "Play Message" I get a "Loading Movie" screen and then an error message that says "This movie format is not supported." I can't get the VM message to play. Any ideas?
