Any update on the re-engineering effort? I'd really love to see an updated update-source16.

Thanks.

They do support 1.6.x

They just don't support upgrading 1.6.x to a higher version through update-sources16. This is primarily because there is only one programmer doing this and it's darmocks and he's just very busy.

However recently it's been posted on the forums how to go about manually upgrading your box.

Thanks for the support tm1000. Unfortunately one has to put food on the table. I have been rewritting almost everything as time permits to support 1.4/1.6 with dahdi. I have also been streamling all of the support programs to support both 1.4/1.6 in the same program. (Thus only one set of commands to remember. Also I have been splitting the PIAF world up into 3 different versions Asterisk14/zaptel, Asterisk14/dahdi, Asterisk16/dahdi.

The update-source is coming along and it is out of alpha and is being tested beta right now (CLOSED BETA). Once out of there it will be released as a general beta. Once that is done it will be put into the general distribution.

Hope this helps.... Ast16 has been an interesting journey with a number of roadblocks to the update-source16 having been put in the way from outside sources.

Can anyone shed any light on why doing a native install of 1.6 would not give you the admin and panel folders in /var/www/html/ nor the FreePBX db ??
