I posted this in the XiVO forum but it's probably more relevant here...
Hi, I've just started experimenting with Xivo through Incredible PBX - my main PBX is FreePBX-based (but again Incredible PBX). So far I'm loving some of the new options that I'm finding.
In FreePBX it is possible to have voicemails emailed as MP3 files (which mobile phone email clients are happier with than WAVs).. In earlier versions it involved downloading a script which was set as mailcmd as documented in http://community.freepbx.org/t/voicemail-as-mp3-attachments/17805/2 and http://www.g2support.com/how-to-enable-mp3-voicemails-in-freepbx/
My Xivo install is happy emailing voicemails to me, but in WAV format. Is there any way to change this to MP3? I realise that the earlier scripts might not be compatible now, but I spotted another difficulty - it doesn't seem possible to edit mailcmd. I can see it in IPBX - General Settings - Voicemails - E-mails, but it is read only. I tried editing voicemail.conf, but that didn't make any difference.
So, after the long preamble, is it possible to email voicemails as MP3?
Thanks,
Stuart
