SOLVED Uploading IVR message to Raspberry PI PBXIAF

Hello

I have tried using windows, Adobe Audition and Audacity a short greeting for my IVR. I can play it but when I try to upload the message I cannot play it and when I select that message there is silence. It is almost like the upload is too quick. I would think the upload is failing but the message is there to preview. It just doesnt have any sound. I used the recommended settings. Is there a place where I can download a message and see if it plays? That would let me know that its the upload process as apposed to my recording.

You would need to state what you think are the "recommended settings" you would also need to verify that the file is readable (and convertable if appropriate) by the asterisk user. Please post the issue of:-

file (fullpath to your file)

and

ls -l (full path to your file)

Its Incredible PBX I go to System Recordings and the file is PCM Encoded, 16 Bits, at 8000Hz wav file. I can use any extension. Is there one that is recommended? I did a ls -l and i didnt see it in there.

Did you record it in stereo ? the number of channels is important.

It would probably be in /var/lib/asterisk/sounds/custom/*

I went back and used Audacity to record it and it worked! Thanks
