I'm trying to use DNS made easy for failover between servers, but the default with it is that it fails over by checking http, which works for most scenarios, but what if asterisk itself went south?
There's an option for sending a UDP String and then waiting to see if you get a reply. What would be an appropriate string to send over UDP Port 5060 that will get a reply so that it knows that its working?
