Sigh
After too many emails and phone calls a short clarification about the program STATUS is in order
For those of you in the PBX in a Flash 1.2 and higher
Sometimes the program STATUS returns that PBX in a Flash version 1.2 is running when in reality you are running 1.3 or 1.4. THIS IS IN ERROR
There have been some changes in Centos which leads the recognition logic to misreport the actual version of PBX in a Flash that is running.
THUS please be patient this will be fixed but as it is a COSMETIC fix it has been bumped down to the bottom of the fixit list.
If you started with PBX in a Flash 1.2 or 1.3 and have done the following in the last month
update-scripts
update-fixes
update-source (Including updating the kernel and yum update from within update source only!)
update-fixes
THEN YOU ARE RUNNING PBX in a Flash 1.4 Even though status reports it as 1.2 or 1.3
So it comes down to the BIG question
Why are you updating a system that is running OK?
Running update-scripts and update-fixes EVERY SO OFTEN is a good thing. Running update-source every so often is a BAD thing. Don't run update-source unless there is some burning need for you to do so! This means don't upgrade the kernel, Centos, or Asterisk unless you have a really good reason!
For example when Sushi is finally released there will be an option to set it to run every 10 days. (sushi combines update-scripts and update fixes into a single program) Sushi-update which is the replacement for update-source will NEVER be automatically run.
Hopefully this clarifies things in the forums for the moment and I will post when the status program is fixed so it displays the current version of PBX in a Flash.
