Did you set Google Voice to forward your calls to "Google Chat"?

Log into your server as root with SSH and run: asterisk -rvvvvvvv

Now place an incoming call to your GV trunk and see what you see on the Asterisk CLI.

Just as a footnote. Hopefully, everyone can appreciate why Google Voice isn't always the solution. Putting call quality aside, your inbound call savings compared to using Vitelity (our platinum sponsor) with 4 channels and unlimited inbound calls is $3.99 a month. Ask yourself if it's really worth it.

Then you haven't included the DID range in the from-extern context as was covered earlier in this thread.

Is this where I am messing up?

No. Go to Services.IPBX.IPBX Configuration.Contexts. Then edit from-extern:

Then click Incoming Calls tab. Make it look like this and then SAVE your changes:

I just double checked and did exactly like you instructed in the diagram. My software reflects the exact values as the picture shows.. Incoming calls are still not coming through and I now get this message when running asterisk -r

Did you set up the Simonics trunk exactly as shown in the Nerd Vittles tutorial?? It looks like your calls are being delivered as coming from GV13473895936 instead of 13473895936. This is probably because you didn't set the 11-digit number in the Contact field under the SIP Trunk Register tab.

You also have to set up an Incoming Calls entry with the same 11-digit number as documented in this Nerd Vittles tutorial.

This is kinda like baking cookies. You can't skip steps in the recipe, or you miss something like leaving out the sugar. :)

I sure thought that I followed instructions, but I obviously made a mistake somewhere. I will double check everything again with a fine tooth comb and try it again. Thank you for the direction.

In the Services>Trunk Management >Sip Protocol>Register>Contact field, I had an extra GV before the number. Needless to say, this was not supposed to be there. Incoming calls are flowing in.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!
