TIPS RPi slow Welcome Screen-ditch some content

the IncredibleGUI login screen drops me every time into the so slow System Status (Welcome Screen)
I am thinking that on slow processors it must be better if some of this valuable information might be better left for sub screens; because it is a bit annoying that say to get to just perhaps add extension I have to wait for the progress bar to load. The System Status can in any event be called if needed from its Tab = Reports>System Status.
So there is my 2d (old) pence worth.

Move to the Jessie build, the speed difference really is surprising. The status screen loads in just a couple of seconds.

The menus should be still active while you wait for the "welcome" screen to load.

@ostridge I tend to stop the apache service from running if I do not need it constantly on.
