FYI OSS EPM Commercial on PIAF Purple?

I have an existing PIAF purple deployment (the woes of which I have posted due to it being my first ever asterisk anything), and I'd like to install the commercial EPM on it. $75 is nothing, so it seems financially like a good move. I've been told by some FreePBX guys that are FAR smarter than I am that installing EPM on an existing system will wipe out all existing phone configs. Of course, that's not going to work for me or my client. Can anyone shine some light on this?

For a host of reasons, we no longer recommend any of the FreePBX commercial modules.

Currently using Cisco 7960, Sipura ATAs, will be moving over to Polycoms and Yealinks.

I use the OSS Endpoint Manager - works great
