So if I pull up a Piaf box, this is on the front page.

For Tier 3, paid Technical Support, contact:
PBX Development Team at 1-888-Nerd-Uno
or email: [email protected]

I've called this number - it's a direct referal to send an email.... So I've emailed, trying to hire someone for immediate help. Am having issues for a client which I need resolved.
Yet a week later, no returned calls, no emails, no help.

Does anybody know if that is still a valid company?

voicemail emails aren't sending.. have been banging head on wall for a week on this, and questions on it have remained unanswered.. My client needs help, and I need it fixed. I'm ready to pay if i can get somoene on the line to fix it or walk me thru it rapidly without further delay.

i think it's something to do with FQDN issues, but it seems to be a fluctuating issue..

when vmails are made, the system sends out txt message notifications just fine.. but the emails never arrive...

Is that support part of PBXiaf, or a separate company? Does anybody know who that is or if it's in existence?

PIAF support is now handled through the forums with the exception of existing customers with maintenance contracts. One-off crisis management support is better left to commercial PBXs such as our sponsor, 3CX. That's not to suggest that you can't get excellent support on these forums at zero cost. And there are many experts here that would be more than willing to provide commercial support at their usual hourly rates. Just post a request for quotes in the Help Wanted forum here.

look in the file /var/log/maillog there should be a clue there.
Also, webmin may show reasons in logs and sendmail

I'd be willing to take a peek if you send over logon credentials for SSH and Webmin by private messaging

Thx for filling in that question.

The phone number on that page still works - there's an auto-answer announcement on it. Perhaps the announcement could be changed to reflect the change of service? or an auto-responder on the email address? I've been manually 'duct-taping' the client's problem for 6 days, hoping for a call back.

I know (and appreciate) the vast knowledge bank here. My issue is a time-critical one, and I was more than willing to spend money to fix a client's issue which is costing him money by the hour. Just a little frustrating that I put faith in the information on the Piaf box, sent email, and never even got the professional courtesy of a reply that those services are no longer given.

I'd recommend setting up a Gmail SMTP Relay Host as documented here. Their ISP probably started blocking downstream SMTP traffic which would cause all outgoing mail to be rejected.

Ward thx.

the link refers to a post from 2008, which also refers to a post from 2006.

are both background references still valid and do I need to do both on the current build?

┌────────────────────────SYSTEM
│ PIAF Installed Version = 3.0.6.5 under *HARDWARE* │
│ FreePBX Version = 2.11.0.43 │
│ Running Asterisk Version = 11.12.0 │
│ Asterisk Source Version = 11.12.0 │
│ Dahdi Source Version = 2.10.0 │
│ Libpri Source Version = 1.4.15 │
│ IP Address = 10.0.x.xxx on eth0 │
│ Operating System = CentOS release 6.5 (Final) >< │
│ Kernel Version = 2.6.32-431.29.2.el6.i686 - 32 Bit │
│ Incredible Version = 11.10 │
└─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┘

The system was delivering email perfectly fine until the ISP was changed (different ISP and different IP address).

The first post (which has been updated) contains the correct setup. For future reference, it would have been helpful to know that the ISP had changed. That's usually a telltale sign of SMTP blocking of downstream email traffic.

Which is the first post? The first post you made in this thread or the first reference that was made in the reference that you made?

1.. http://pbxinaflash.com/community/threads/install-gmail-as-smtp-relay-host-for-sendmail.974/

says:
"This tutorial is for PBX in a Flash systems only and assumes you already have performed the email fixup steps outlined in this Nerd Vittles tutorial. If not, do that first. "
2.. that referred to: http://nerdvittles.com/?p=201#fix-email

side note:
http://nerdvittles.com/?p=201#fix-email (this page also has a dead link in it)

The first post in the thread. Don't know how to say it any clearer than that.
