TIPS HT502 not registering

I guess I have to give up on the HT502? Just can't get it to register.

Someone mentioned setting up syslog so that you could see what the HT502 is doing. Did you do that?

Have you looked at Asterisk logs? Turned on SIP debugs on Asterisk to see if there are any communications coming from the device?

Finally figured it out. Firewall issue! Even though the PBX and the device are on the same LAN, I had to add the IP address of the device in the whitelist of the firewall. My LAN's network is 172.16.0.0/16, but it seems that that network is not allowed, only 172.16.0.0/12. I figured it out when i wanted to add a GOIP1 to the network. I could not access the PBX from behind this device. Added its IP and viola, every this worked.
