Hi guys,

When I create trunks, I always leave settings on default.

Is ulaw in this list http://prntscr.com/7x2ztu (under Advanced Settings > SIP settings)

refers to G.711 in this link?
http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/voice/voice-quality/7934-bwidth-consume.html

or it's different?

Second question, the highest quality codec is G.711 correct?

Third question, my trunks are configured like this http://prntscr.com/7x30y4
So allow ulaw, does that mean it's G.711 as well?

Fourth question is can I see the registered extensions and registered trunks codec usage, like I can see in peers list?

Thank you very much in advanced.

G.711 is both ulaw and alaw, with ulaw being what is mainly used in the US and alaw in Europe. It depends on your carrier as to what they support.

For typical carrier connections it will usually be the highest quality codec they support.

In the Asterisk Info area under Reports you can click on channels and see what is being used in real time.
