SUGGESTIONS bridge wifi router to a cellular hotspot

Keeping it simple is probably best. If you decide you need to demo, take a look at Accelerated Concepts http://www.acceleratedconcepts.com. They make an Ethernet to LTE bridge similar to Cradlepoint. It takes USB LTE so you can change carriers if necessary.

TIPS I'm lost. Which PIAF for me ?

Thanks for this post and the helpful comments. I am just returning to look at PiaF as I've been away for a while. It was quite overwhelming trying to get my head wrapped around the different flavors. You guys have been busy. The chart above is great. I think I'm going to try my hand with...

NO JOY Vitelity - inbound SMS issues?

I can send SMS text messages out using Vitelity's app and web client but I am unable to receive. Is anyone having a similar issue? I opened a ticket with their support but got the "we are looking into this with our partner" message...

New Hardware Trim Slice - Will it work?

I believe GregC is referring to the issue of PiaF being complied for x86 and not ARM. Not a processing power issue...

    SSD - fast and quiet!!!

I picked up a small, 32GB SSD over the weekend. I love how quick it boots up and how little noise the system makes! When I get a minute, I'm going to plug it into the Kill-a-watt and see how much power the system draws. Installed in a Foxconn Netbox (Atom powered) system. Here's the drive...

Security For PBXIAF Hosted In a Datacenter

PiaF is covered by iptables and fail2ban, but what about the hypervisor and the rest of the Xen server... I think you have a security risk that might be out of the scope of this forum...

FOOD FOR THOUGHT Google Voice-SIP gateway

If we want to test this GV-SIP gateway we enter our login and password? I'm not sure I feel comfortable with that, personally. Is this something you can package up, so we can try on our own server, perhaps?

Need advice on moving PiaF from copper to ITSP

I've heard good things about Sonicwall on the data side, but heard they don't do VoIP well (PiaF or otherwise). The have SIP ALG that simply doesn't work well and in the past their tech support recommended turning off that feature. I've heard this 2nd hand but from multiple Sonicwall partners...

Need advice on moving PiaF from copper to ITSP

I used to have a pretty slow ADSL line (300kbps/1.1Mbps) for my home office. I used G.711 and it worked fine. My router had great QoS/Traffic Shaping. My MOS score (provided by the router) were typically 4.4. If you are going this route, getting a router w/ strong QoS is important...

    Versions of PIAF Components

Is there a list of the version of components for the given PIAF versions? For example, PIAF 1.751 contains: CentOS version 5.?, Asterisk 1.4-8 (version dependent, I know), FreePBX 2.? Thanks

Friend looking for Voip consultant in Tampa, FL

rentpbx and voip.ms seems like it would be a no brainer for his small office. The biggest challenge, IMO, is getting the QoS part done correctly. Good luck to you and your friend!

    Small VPN router suggestions?

Has anyone tried running VoIP thru stunnels? I had experience with OEM product that used that technology and the call quality on slower links was worse than expected. I believe the primary cause was that the voice traffic going thru stunnel is TCP and when there is any congestion, packets are...
