There are 20 years' worth of documentation for chan_sip configurations and unfortunately those are the configs that new users to Free/Incredible PBX tend to find. *PBX 17 without chan_sip will finally render all that old documentation useless.

If you have 1GB RAM, better have a swap file. I ran the installer today on a 1GB VM with no swap file and ran out of memory; the installer crashed.
