GO HERE XiVO 16.12 Inbound CID and IVR

@AndyK: Thanks for posting the fix -- I had the same problem with my inbound Vitelity trunk and removing the Caller ID field in the inbound trunk configuration fixed it for me too.

Adding SIP Extension brings up blank page ????

I have a brand new, stock install of PIAF 1.7.5.6.1 SILVER, which installed FreePBX 2.8.1. It also had this problem. I uninstalled Endpoint Manager and it fixed the problem. Reinstalling EPM was not a problem, SIP extensions can still be added. Thanks for the tips!

PiaF 1.7.5.6.1 purple installation - No Asterisk, fopfix29.tgz issue

I used wget to manually download each file from the digium subversion server and manually built asterisk (see code snippet in previous post for the exact commands). Asterisk built successfully, and seems to have started. I haven't testing anything else yet (Asterisk shows ONLINE in the status...

PiaF 1.7.5.6.1 purple installation - No Asterisk, fopfix29.tgz issue

Went through the log file and having a hard time finding where the failure occurred (searched for fail and didn't find any smoking guns). Is the installation script somewhere so I can look through it and find clues as to what/where/why things failed? If that's one of the "private scripts" I...

PiaF 1.7.5.6.1 purple installation - No Asterisk, fopfix29.tgz issue

I downloaded the latest ISO, version 1.7.5.6.1 yesterday and attempted to install it on a dual Xeon 3 GHz server with 2 GB RAM, a SCSI RAID array, and dual ethernet ports. When I install the Silver version, everything seems to install perfectly, though I haven't fully configured it to be sure...

    Continual Test Call, Monitoring Concept

Two thoughts: 1. The process of setting up and tearing down calls is also potentially important. Perhaps instead of a single sustained call, do a 5-minute call, start a new one just before hanging up the old one. 2. Monitoring for music on hold or something that's humanly recognizable is...

Vitelity incoming calls fail with IncrediblePBX fresh install

I'm posting this question on behalf of my brother, who is waiting for his forum account to be activated. I've installed the brand new IncrediblePBX on an acer aspire revo 1600 to take over for a noisy tower PC I was using before. I set up extensions and they can all call each other. I was...

Latest update on 64 bit system broke ztdummy/dahdi_dummy

Word to the wise - Avoid DAHDI like the plague Just going to re-install from the last full system backup. Advice: Don't use DAHDI, as of March 2010 it doesn't seem to be ready for prime time yet. More advice: Make sure you've set up full disk backup. It's a nice way to revert to a previous...

Latest update on 64 bit system broke ztdummy/dahdi_dummy

Don't think I ran update-source I've been pretty careful not to run update-source on this production machine. Just to be sure I didn't to a fat-finger-typo, though, I pulled my bash history to see (it's keeping 1000 recent commands at this point, and I verified that some of the older history...

Latest update on 64 bit system broke ztdummy/dahdi_dummy

I have a production system, 64 bit, Asterisk version 1.4. The ntpd was not updating the system time correctly. I tried to configure the ntpd settings through webmin, but when loading the "Time Server Sync" tab, the various options would not load (the page was mostly blank). I fixed this by...

    ddclient - permission denied

Are you trying to run the command as the root user? You can try adding sudo before the command (with a space between sudo and the rest of the command line). I'm guessing (shot in the dark) that the file you're trying to edit is owned by another "user account" on the machine. It's worth a shot...

How to see realtime IAX2 registrations requests??

My bad - you'll probably have to add additional yum repositories to install ngrep. Create this file: /etc/yum.repos.d/rpmforge.repo and paste this in: # Name: RPMforge RPM Repository for Red Hat Enterprise 5 - dag # URL: http://rpmforge.net/ [rpmforge] name = Red Hat Enterprise $releasever -...

How to see realtime IAX2 registrations requests??

Perhaps it wasn't installed by default. I think the repositories are set up so you can do: yum -y install ngrep and it will install it for you. Hope that helps.

Distinctive ring (sip "ALERT INFO") for extension-extension calls

Hmmm... Can't think of a way in FreePBX. Sounds like a custom context for that extension that adds the SIP header, then "includes" the normal from-internal context. I haven't tried doing exactly that before, so I'm not going to be much more help than the above... Good luck.

How to see realtime IAX2 registrations requests??

Try this while logged in (ssh) to your server as the root user (it will show all IAX2 traffic, not just registrations): ngrep -Wbyline port 4569 When you've seen enough, use control-c to exit. Good luck!

    Intel Atom Ethernet interface OFFLINE

Yes, I used that driver, but it had a bug (from the CentOS source). This process allows you to update/recompile the driver to fix the problem. Once the new ISO is available, this procedure shouldn't be necessary any longer.

    Intel Atom Ethernet interface OFFLINE

I found the solution for this and I'm posting it for the benefit of others. I'm putting together a PiaF system for a friend, and he purchased a ViewSonic VPC100 all-in-one machine to use as his server. It has an Intel Atom motherboard with a realtek gigabit ethernet chip, listed as either an...

    Aastra 53i MWI stays ON

If the MWI is blinking, the phone thinks it has a message waiting. If the MWI is on solid, it thinks there is a failure in it's outbound route (the display will probably show "no service"). Just one thing to check.

    Emailing call logs.

Or perhaps run this as a cron job at 11:55 pm every night: grep `date +%Y-%m-%d` /var/log/asterisk/cdr-csv/Master.csv | mailx -s "Call Detail Report for `date +%Y-%m-%d`" [email protected] This pulls the current day's calls out of the .csv log file and emails them to [email protected]...

    Emailing call logs.

Not a complete solution yet, but this command uses wget to access the call detail records through the web interface: wget --user=maint --password=(your maint password) --keep-session-cookies --save-cookies ./cookies.txt -p http://localhost/admin/reports.php...
