FOOD FOR THOUGHT G.729 for Raspberry Pi 2

Howdy, So what's the level of interest in Digium's commercial modules for the RPi2? Show of hands, who needs/needed G.729 for the RPi/2 to the point where they'd be willing to pay for it? And, if you did, how many Pi's do you have deployed? Cheers

QUESTION Anyone using Smart BLF's on Digium phones?

Correct, it's an either/or, not additive. Under the hood, for old firmware and old style contacts, they're simply played out on the screen in the order they're found in the contacts file for the rapid dial group. If you're on firmware 1.4 and you're *not* defining any Smart BLF blf items...

    QUESTION Digium phone intercom button?

A small update; looks like the OSS Endpoint manager sets those alerts also.

    QUESTION Digium phone intercom button?

Howdy, That's because, if you're using DPMA, there are some alerts already loaded onto your phone. Those alerts are "normal" which presents the normal ringing, "ring-answer" which presents the ring followed by answer ringing, "visual" which makes the phone appear to ring without actually...

SOLVED OS X VirtualBox Bug with 10.9 Mavericks

Happened to me, also. But, I was on an earlier version of VirtualBox. I installed the latest, and the problem went away. So, my experience wasn't able to distinguish between a re-install or the new version as being the remedy. Nevertheless, it's operating normally now.

SOLVED Digium Phone Installer for Asterisk 11

wardmundy - we've got "-current" links now: http://downloads.digium.com/pub/telephony/res_digium_phone/asterisk-11.0/x86-32/res_digium_phone-current-x86_32.tar.gz

SOLVED Digium Phone Installer for Asterisk 11

No, thank you :) There's one minor ticky-tack thing still - the res_digium_phone.conf link to /var/www/html/admin/modules/digium_phones/etc/res_digium_phone.conf is root:root. It *should* be asterisk:asterisk also, but it probably won't affect anyone (until we need to add an additional...

SOLVED Digium Phone Installer for Asterisk 11

Got it. There's some kind of permissions issue when doing install-digphones. The files that got created in /etc/asterisk, the res_digium_xyz files, ended up with root:root permissions instead of asterisk:asterisk permissions. So, gob, that should fix you up.

SOLVED Digium Phone Installer for Asterisk 11

I can document the manual procedure. 1. Get res_digium_phone appropriate for your platform from http://downloads.digium.com/pub/telephony/res_digium_phone/. There are directories for Asterisk 1.8-cert (asterisk-1.8.11), Asterisk-10-digiumphones (asterisk-10.0) and Asterisk 11 (asterisk-11.0)...

SOLVED Digium Phone Installer for Asterisk 11

Trouble on green for me as well, but it was installing the module in the first place via install-digiphones. But, afaik, it's on us (Digium) to provide a -current link to Ward, so he can set it and forget it, before I'd be asking for any bandaids.

    SUGGESTIONS Opensource Ticketing system

    FYI Digium D70 phones

I think endpoint manager currently configures them as vanilla SIP phones, just using XML configuration, so you miss out on fancy features. I've seen that the roadmap says there are plans to change that in the future. If you want something now, we maintain a freepbx addon that configures them...
