    ALERT AT&T Security Breach

Conveniently my AT&T cell service is prepaid so they know almost nothing about me (just my name and phone number . . .)

FYI Tax Compliance for Resellers of Voice

While on this topic - in Canada you need to be registered with the CRTC as a reseller and have a BITS license if you carry calls internationally (which I believe includes the US . . .). Your post reminded me I'm late to fill out one of the forms for the annual survey . . .

FOOD FOR THOUGHT VoIP provider multiple endpoints - like traditional telephone extensions

Honestly, mostly the same. Yealink is easiest to configure but might send your information back to China one day. Polycom is more expensive and a bit more difficult to configure. Snom I've only used a couple of them, so can't say for sure but haven't ever heard anyone say they're garbage...

FOOD FOR THOUGHT VoIP provider multiple endpoints - like traditional telephone extensions

Voip.ms will work in the UK, they have a Point of Presence in London, and they support UK numbers. I am not 100% sure if they are able to port in your existing number, you can email and ask them. They do not charge for additional extensions (they are just sub accounts) - you pay for your...

FOOD FOR THOUGHT FreePBX Enhanced Voicemail Module

Ya, I can think of one company I'd mention this to. In Quebec in particular there's lots of people who are not bilingual and speak mostly or only one or the other language, and so a built in translation, even if imperfect is probably helpful. Would matter that each extension could choose...

NEWS FLASH Never Lose Your Phone

My excitement in the 90's was when they put a DMS switch in and my modem could go from 33.6K to 56K overnight, and phone calls connected instantly when dialing the 7th digit (cause everything still was 7 digits).

QUESTION Has anyone made Grandstreams phones or ATA's work from an .OVPN file?

I've only been able to get the Yeastar ATA's to work with OpenVPN. Never managed to get it working anywhere else, though I also haven't used an ATA for a little while now.

QUESTION Yealink phones - creating extensions

You'll need the extensions provided by the carrier for this setup. If bonline doesn't do this voip.ms does and they have a london point of presence.

Think I remember this happening once before. Can't remember if it was drive full or corrupted file / SQL. Something like that.

TUTORIAL BulkVS SMS Reception/Transmission Gateway - php code

This worked great just now for receiving SMS. I really needed a fast solution for bulkvs to receive SMS on a couple of my DID's - I dropped the sms-rx code into my web server (I don't expose my PBX to the web) in a subfolder, setup the hook at BulkVS, edited the .php with my email addresses...

TIPS Looking for a 5-number VoIP solution.

Ya this is probably easiest; Tmobile even let's you do SIM swaps online in their business accounts. It would be less hassle then just keep a couple spare sims handy to move to. Probably there's a way using e-sims that are even more efficient if you can find an inexpensive phone that...

Persistent Issues with SIM Card Blocks

Yes, sounds like you're using the service in a way that violates the terms of service of the carrier, and they're blocking you. Not much you can do there, except try with more sim cards to lower the volume of calls you're managing through there.

TIPS Looking for a 5-number VoIP solution.

Couldn't you do a data only sim and block all calls and texts (surely someone does this), hand out cheap phones, use the above approach, and then just swap the sim if it isn't returned?
