NO JOY Busy signal on inbound voip.ms

Your issue and solution was to to remove "voip" from in sec_Ignore_user_agent. Essentially, 3CX recently (V15 SP4) changed the default auto block anti-hack protection list to block anything that included the word "voip" Boggles the mind. Voip.MS added a note in the INBOUND RULES section of...

QUESTION Show different ID when prefix used to dial

YiannisH & NickG, Respectfully, you guys REALLY need to decouple the notion of TRUNKS and CID. It's a very poor design implementation. It's insane to require more than 1 trunk to the same provider just to resolve a simple but common requirement for multiple outbound CIDs. A Trunk must be...

FYI 2016: The Year of VoIP Choice

    SOLVED PiaF5 no system recordings/sound

FYI, AFAIK the 3CX tunnel doesn't provide any kind of encryption. It's not like a VPN tunnel. Think of a 3CX tunnel as their answer to an IAX trunk. It essentially combines the communication channels onto to one port (5090) to simplify NAT traversal in the same way as an IAX trunk (4569).

    PIONEERS Yealink T46G phone

I recently got a couple of T46G's and EHS36 adapters to use with our Plantronics Savi 740's. Anyone figure out how to update the firmware on the EHS36 with a T46G? I've only found instructions when the EHS is connected to T2x & T3x models.

    R.I.P. PIAF Endpoint Manager

No. not at all. It's me who's sorry to bother you. Ok no worries. It surprising because all the Polycom documentation for UCS 3.3.x and 4.0.x says: It is no longer necessary to load the default sip.cfg and phone1.cfg files to ensure proper operation. This saves approximately 200 KB from...

    R.I.P. PIAF Endpoint Manager

Hi Andy, I noticed your latest EPM 2.10.3.x versions all download Polycom firmware UC4.0.x, but I'm not sure this is intentional because the autoprovisioning config files EPM creates stil look like their for for 3.2.x sip.cfg is deprecated and no longer used in UC3.3x & UC4.0.x A lot...

    R.I.P. PIAF Endpoint Manager

Thanks for replying so quick tm! I just tried again and it suddenly started working when I hit update again:smile5: What threw me off a bit were the instructions on where to get the files manually point to http://www.provisioner.net/releases3 , but there's only config files for yealink on...

    R.I.P. PIAF Endpoint Manager

I can access http://mirror.freepbx.org/provisioner on a browser just fine. But when I try to to get any updates with EPM it throws this error. Trying to install/setup Polycom gives me this. Downloading Brand XML..... Error Connecting to the Package Repository. Module not installed...

    R.I.P. PIAF Endpoint Manager

tm1000, Is the EPM server down ? I just setup a new PiaF and it can't seem to download any EPM config files. I went to get the Polycom files manually, but they're also not there.

NO JOY Webmin missing from main menu on fresh install of Purple 32bit

Tom, Same issue here. No webmin on PiaF login page and webmin isn't reachable directly via http. Service status says it's running. Did another complete fresh PiaF install in case something went wonky the first time, but exact same issue. Thanks

CentOS 6 release tomorrow. New PiaF version ?

Thanks Tom for your tireless efforts ! In case you didn't already know we all appreciate it very much. CO6 would have happened a lot sooner if it wasn't for RH's antics, but it looks like we're almost there!

CentOS 6 release tomorrow. New PiaF version ?

Hi all, As CentOS 6 was released by QA yesterday and is scheduled to begin syncing with external mirrors tomorrow July 5th, I was wondering what plans PiaF had in store for releasing a CentOS 6 version? The main reason I ask is because the newer linux kernels have had major improvements...

    Virtualizing PIAF

Thanks. I've been meaning to try a newer kernel with PiaF to take advantage of some of the newer enhancements in more recent kernels like virtual environment improvements and trim for SSDs. I'm going to try and get the PiaF payload installed and running on Fedora 13 with wget and see what...

Setup SIP extensions to use Auth Name (instead of ext nbr) & password

Joe, yes thanks for the pointer and advice. I replied to you in the other thread. I'll have to look into this user mode more closely. I have no idea what impact, if any, it has on how the PBX functions in this mode. For instance, if an extension is created and SIP device is signed in, does the...

    Fail2Ban Allowing Hundreds of Attempts

Joe, thanks for your input. I'll have to look into this user mode in FreePBX. Ward, this is an interesting concept. As usual your innovative ideas continue to add considerable value to PiaF that raises the bar considerably higher than other free Asterisk based distros.
