TIPS Polycom SoundPoint IP phone and Incredible PBX 2027

I was never able to get the web interface configuration to work on my SP 501. OSS-EPM worked after I made some modifications.

NEW OSS EPM for FreePBX 16 & iPBX 2027

Yep, I already (sort of) figured that out. See this post in this very same thread. Since it was in the general endpointman functions.inc.php, I didn't think it was brand specific. I didn't see anything related to pjsip notify (or more properly pjsip send notify) anywhere else in that file. As...

NEW OSS EPM for FreePBX 16 & iPBX 2027

One other thing I found is my phones (Polycom) will only reboot if configured as SIP extensions, if you configure them as PJSIP they will not reboot.

    TIME MACHINE The $15,000 A.I. From 1983

I gave up a few years ago, switched to Chinese (Amazon) WiFi (ESP8266) modules and loaded Tasmota into them. I really don't care for IoT and relying on other people's servers for my devices' functionality, plus the idea of giving them an "in" to my network rubs me the wrong way. I started with...

    TIME MACHINE The $15,000 A.I. From 1983

Butler in a Box didn't report your every word to Amazon/Google/Apple/China/NSA. You take the bad with the good... FWIW - X10 was a decent (far from great) home control system until the home power lines got polluted by dozens of plug-in devices each with their own switch mode power supply...

NEW OSS EPM for FreePBX 16 & iPBX 2027

So another "new" problem that I have half figured out already. Using the Polycom 501 with chan_sip, it reboots when an updated configuration is generated (and reboot is checked). Using chan_pjsip the phone works fine, but does not reboot when requested in OSS-EPM. I did some digging and found...

FYI CDR - Did something change?

Changing to "Answered" helps for those calls. but I used to scan through the log looking for Unanswered calls to spot out spam/robocalls since many of them would hang up before the answering machine picks up. That is now significantly more difficult. It doesn't matter since it doesn't seem...

FYI CDR - Did something change?

Thanks for clearing that up. My CDR doesn't (directly) show which extension answered, it shows the call going to three identical "600" destinations simulateously with only one showing as answered. I have to click on the "System" link, then it shows the call splitting out to ring the three...

FYI CDR - Did something change?

So I noticed something very weird (to me anyway) on my new IPBX2027 install, and I'm wondering if it's "normal" or if I have something switched around in the options somewhere. Previously (PBX in a Flash release 3.6.5, yes, ancient, I know) the CDR would display one entry for every incoming...

NEW OSS EPM for FreePBX 16 & iPBX 2027

So a small but significant update. I tried setting up a Grandstream GXP2000 and it created the endpoint without the copy error shown above and I see a cfg(macaddr) file in the /tftpboot directory. Guess I will dig into the directory structure to see if something jumps out at me... Edit: So...

NEW OSS EPM for FreePBX 16 & iPBX 2027

So I've gotten back to working with this and have a problem that doesn't seem to be covered so far in this thread. I've created an extension for the phone (Polycom SP501), and I'm running in to an error when trying to map the phone to the extension when I click "Add" When I reload the...

FUNNY STUFF Unknown VM Users and Anonymous PJSIP (More OCD Ward)

Thanks for the info about the config file. Nowhere in the webui to deal with those (other than config editor)? Re SIP vs PJSIP - I thought so, but all of the pre-configured trunks (and some of the extensions) use legacy SIP, so I just stuck with it. I'm bringing this up parallel to my existing...

FUNNY STUFF Unknown VM Users and Anonymous PJSIP (More OCD Ward)

Slowly making my way through the PBX setup and found these oddities... Who/what are these two VM Users? How do I edit/remove them? I've poked through every tab I can find. Why is there an "anonymous" PJSIP channel? It only shows up in Channels, not Peers or Registries (or anywhere else I...

    FUNNY STUFF OpenVPN client (Ubuntu)

Yes, and no. Exchanging the first, less than helpful error message, for the second allowed me to find and comment out the call in /etc/openvpn-start that was needlessly calling openvpn and failing due to the lack of a config file. No more error messages related to openvpn. FWIW - I would...

    FUNNY STUFF OpenVPN client (Ubuntu)

Yes, I understand and agree. Unfortunately it's a mindset. Error messages should not be "harmless", otherwise it trains people to ignore them. I've been having a similar argument with our IT department. Whether it was them or M$, Outlook has suddenly started giving a really nasty looking...

    FUNNY STUFF OpenVPN client (Ubuntu)

But it is starting. Then it fails to find the .ovpn file, errors out and presumably exits so it is no longer running. What I asked is if there was a way to prevent the openvpn client from starting in the first place, so as to avoid the error completely. I appreciate the effort, but I'm hoping...

    FUNNY STUFF OpenVPN client (Ubuntu)

IncrediblePBX 2027-U installed on an x64 PC. I'm seeing the same error message as here. I understand the error message is "harmless", but is there a way to simply get rid of it? I've set autostart to "none" in the /etc/default/openvpn file and also disabled the openvpn service with systemctl...
