Had an Internet outage and the handsets all said 'no service' even though pots lines were still active on PIAF. PIAF server and phone are on the same LAN so I'm wondering how I can prevent this from happening? I'm not sure why the phones would say no service when they can still reach the PIAF...

Probably a DAHDI timing issue as well. You can test for it by shutting down the DAHDI service ( service dahdi stop ) then restart asterisk and see if MOH is now working in Parking. If you don't use conferences then this is probably a good fix, but conferences depend on Zaptel/DAHDI timing so...

After a lot of futzing around with it I determined it was associated with zaptel/dahdi timing. I ended up installing the PIAF Gold which still uses Zaptel and that didn't seem to suffer from the same problem.

I can't seem to get MOH working when a call is parked. It works fine when on hold or waiting in a conference. I've seen posts about similar issues with Asterisk 1.6 and 1.8 but can't seem to solve this on in 1.4. Any ideas?

OK, figured it out! I just needed to fill in the proxy server field. Never had to do that with other phones I've used so it never occurred to me. Thanks for the suggestions. Now if I can get the "Dial" button to work.

I emptied the "Local Dialplan" field, saved and rebooted the phone. Still no joy. It just gives a busy signal when I try and dial out. And nothing registers in the asterisk console.
