    TIPS Nortel IP 1535 $27.95

After more digging around if you look at what they did over at SipX for the phone we should be able to hopefully translate some of that to these. If you watch the phone they will in fact try to get a common config from t*f*t*p first if it receives Option 66 with an IP. If that fails it tries via...

    TIPS Nortel IP 1535 $27.95

I think we can automate the initial provisioning server process as well. The phones are sending an Option 43 request to your DHCP server. These are typically answered by certain vendor class identifiers to return IP addresses and such. If we can figure out the format for the FTP address then we...

    TIPS Nortel IP 1535 $27.95

What I'm looking at doing is trying to see if it is possible to basically create a DynDNS type service running on the phone, most of these phones go out to family members and if Comcast were to change my IP ever I don't want to have to go and touch the phone. If I had a script running on the...

    Acer Revo and Aspire

Has anyone ran video calls over these boxes? I'm looking at some lower power machines to run my servers in our house in hopes of reducing the power bill.

    Pop-up notifier for Mac computers????

app_notify is what I use along with their notify app for the Mac. I use this with the dialplan injection module. What I like is that it logs to iCal so when I'm not home I can still see what calls I missed. You can also automatically add the caller info to your addressbook...

FOOD FOR THOUGHT OpenSBC - A silver bullet for NAT issues?

For some reason mine wouldn't work with it being on port 5061. I set my Grandstream GXV-3000 to use port 5061 and it just goes straight to Asterisk. So I tried changing it to 9000 after some Google results mentioned they had the same problem with port 5061. But changing it to 9000 didn't fix it...

FOOD FOR THOUGHT OpenSBC - A silver bullet for NAT issues?

Yeap, repointed to 5061. When I did that the phones just went straight to Asterisk and ignored OpenSBC. When I changed the port to 9000 they started to hit the OpenSBC, well two of them did. My Grandstream GXV-3000's won't. I'll probably change the setup and put this on my ClearOS firewall which...

FOOD FOR THOUGHT OpenSBC - A silver bullet for NAT issues?

This looks interesting, I've been plagued with NAT issues from the start. My PBX sits behind a firewall with ports forwarded to it. I've got a couple of remote phones that work off and on. I ran the script with no problems to install OpenSBC but it doesn't seem to be working. My remote phones...

We have seen those as well, but only on a couple of extensions and it isn't going through my Piaf serer, seems to be direct ip calls.

Display Caller ID on your XBMC

There should be 4 tables, look at the module code and you'll find the SQL file that can be ran in phpMyAdmin to set it up.

Laptops & Xserve G4 For Sale

I've got three laptops ready to go with Ubuntu featuring OpenOffice (compatible with MS Word/Excel) and one laptop with Windows XP. All of these have ran PIAF at some point in time during their lives, I've used them for demo/dev boxes. The HP & Dell Latitudes have issues with their cdrom drives...

Where in the World is NerdUno?

I've started to work on this, you would have to use CallerID. How would your PBX know the GPS location from a cellphone? The call isn't tagged with that in such a way that one can use it, only emergency services have access to that data I believe.

I HAVE A DREAM NEW CallerID Superfecta 2.2.4: THE MODULE

That is an interesting suggestion, I would probably use it as we seem to get some calls on the cells that we don't answer just because we don't know who it was and then when they don't leave a message you have no idea.

    Directory with Touch-to-Dial Extensions

Just use a small mini-itx computer with a touch screen monitor. Have the display be a web app or native app which when you press on the logo/name it goes into Asterisk and creates a call to a door phone that is installed at the door and bridges it to the companies extension.

I HAVE A DREAM NEW CallerID Superfecta 2.2.4: THE MODULE

Have you modified your httpd.conf file from the original PBXIAF install? If not can you email me that to <forum username>@gmail.com and I can compare that with mine. I've made changes to make the Apache server closer to what I use.

I HAVE A DREAM NEW CallerID Superfecta 2.2.4: THE MODULE

PBXIAF 1.2.3 If I get rid of the .htaccess in the bin folder everything works just fine. So I wonder if on my peoples install the "AllowOverride" is not allowed for the admin/ folder so these .htaccess rules are being ignored. In any case that .htaccess is not setup properly with correct...
