SUGGESTIONS Aastra XML scripts 2.3.1 Beta

I could not get the latest version of the scripts working on the 6800 series of phones, specifically the login/logout portion. Some of the other scripts may work partially. YMMV

SOLVED Digium Phone Installer for Asterisk 11

This script no longer works - it fails on the check for Asterisk 11 and exits. Looks like Digium changed the output of the Asterisk -rx command and adds this line to the output. Privilege escalation protection disabled! I managed to get it to work by modifying the Asteisk 11 check to...

    BUG 6757i

I experienced similar issues with Aastra's and NAT on a new install after running perfectly on an older system for a long time. Check your extension settings and make sure that NAT=yes on each remote extension. This of course assumes you have the other SIP nat settings correct...

QUESTION Aastra M675i how do I use LEDs to show extension busy??

If you are using the Aastra scripts, there should be a "Keys" application - you can use this to program the sidecar and select BLF as the key type. This actually creates a BLF/Xfer key type which allows the person to transfer calls directly without having to hit Xfer first and also provides...

    QUESTION SSDs...

We have only ever used Intel SSD's in a raid 1 configuration for our systems - we have some running for more than 2 years now without issue. We still stick with enterprise mechanical drives for our larger installations though.

    CentOS 6.2 Kernel Bug

Thanks for the quick response Tom - didn't realise that update sources would update the kernel as well. I do receive this error though it does not appear to have any affect as the upgrade did happen. Now processing kernel upgrade if applicable Now upgrading kernel sed: can't read...

NO JOY voicemail systems states "I'm sorry, an error has occured" after pressing "1".

Can you leave a message if you do not press '1' afterwards? ie. just hangup? Is your message longer than say 5 seconds? Probably best if you monitor the Asterisk command line and see what messages are displayed on the screen while leaving a message. AT a Linux command prompt, type asterisk...

    Aastra Frustration

I agree completely about the firmware, I was just making a comment on the general lack of understanding of the open source world by corporations. Unfortunately $$$ (and big names) talk and they do not see the immediate return in supporting us adequately. But if enough...

    Aastra Frustration

Being a long time user and supporter of Aastra, I too have become frustrated with the lack of movement on these issues (firmware, XML scripts, innovation, etc). They have been completely focused on Microsoft Lync to the detriment of of all others. Anyone remember Response Point and where that...

NO JOY voicemail systems states "I'm sorry, an error has occured" after pressing "1".

I don't know anything about using Google's voicemail system, so you will have to look elsewhere for that. But for Asterisk, sounds like you don't have the required directory structure.

NO JOY voicemail systems states "I'm sorry, an error has occured" after pressing "1".

Sorry my mistake, it should be in /var/spool/asterisk/voicemail/default/<extension>

NO JOY voicemail systems states "I'm sorry, an error has occured" after pressing "1".

Check that the actual voicemail folders for that mailbox exists - look in /var/spool/asterisk/default/<extension> Also check ownership on those folders - should be both user and group asterisk

    BLF lamps on Aastra phone

I don't believe you can do this on the same button - you would probably have to write an XML script for the button in which you intercom the extension and then control the BLF light of that key.
