TRY THIS PIAF 3 install stuck with black screen

PBX in a Flash 3 install using the official guide at: http://pbxinaflash.com/community/pages/voip-quick-start-guide/ After reboot, and selecting PIAF on the "Select a program to install" screen, the installer hangs with "black screen" for a very long time. Checking the running processes with...

    TUTORIAL Original Asterisk Upgrade Script

Ward, I tested it again and the folder "/etc/schmooze" is present on a fresh PIAF-Green install, therefore the upgrade script will not work with the error above.

    TUTORIAL Original Asterisk Upgrade Script

@wardmundy I found that an empty folder "/etc/schmooze" is present on my PIAF-Green box (this is not SHMZ OS). Running the Asterisk upgrade script results in this error: root@mypbx:~ # ./upgrade-asterisk-to-current Sorry. Asterisk compile from source not supported by SHMZ OS.

NEED MORE INFO Incredible PBX Using Significantly more Disk Space on CentOS vs Ubuntu?

Use a script (search Google) to find the largest files on your system and sort by size in reverse order. You will likely find some logs or junk files taking lots of space. Also check the partitions using fsck in recovery mode. Sometimes the free space reported are incorrect.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT Anyone tried Kimsufi / OVH / SoYouStart for VOIP? $6.99 for Dedicated Servers

From what I know, there are a few problems with Kimsufi servers: 1. Don't expect any support. Tickets can take weeks or even months to reply, if they ever get back to you. 2. Their lowest priced servers are always out of stock. Very difficult to get one unless you use a stock monitoring script...

    QUESTION CentOS 6.5 Install issues

Hi Axion, those are minor discrepancies that should not affect your new PIAF 3.6.5 system. I hope that your new server runs fine!

NO JOY Installing PIAF on OpenVZ VPS

Hello, Installing on OpenVZ is very difficult due to its special kernel and lack of corresponding kernel-devel package, which prevents compiling of Asterisk. The easiest way is to use a pre-built OpenVZ template for FreePBX/Asterisk, PBX in a Flash or Incredible PBX.

    QUESTION Failover

You can achieve this using Monit combined with a dynamic DNS service such as No-IP. Use Monit to check the ping status of your cloud server every monitor cycle, and when it fails for X cycles, execute some bash script that will update your No-IP DNS hostname's IP address to your local server via...

SOLVED piaf 20650 install not working

Just tried a new PIAF3 install on CentOS and everything seems to work, except for the "/usr/local/sbin/isomenu: cannot execute binary file" error on 32-bit. Quoting my previous comment: "It seems that the program /usr/local/sbin/newparadigm.sh re-downloads isomenu, and before doing that it...

SOLVED piaf 20650 install not working

Confirmed that patch174.tgz still has 404 error during install as of 11PM CDT on 4/11. URLs missing on all mirrors: http://www.pbxinaflash.org/piaf6-64/files/patch174.tgz http://www.pbxinaflash.org/piaf6/files/patch174.tgz Another error in the output that I just noticed is for sysadmin...

SOLVED piaf 20650 install not working

EDIT: It seems that the program /usr/local/sbin/newparadigm.sh re-downloads isomenu, and before doing that it checks the $RUNNING variable to determine if it is 32-bit or 64-bit. However, that variable is not set. Therefore it always downloads the 64-bit isomenu, even on 32-bit systems. Please...

SOLVED piaf 20650 install not working

Thanks Tom. By the way, that 404 error I mentioned was encountered during the "update-fixes" process of a fresh PIAF3 install, on both 32 and 64-bit CentOS 6.6. It claims that my Internet is down and then exits without finishing.

SOLVED Payloads not available for installation for 3 days

The developers had archived those old PIAF2 repos since a couple days ago, so they are no longer working: http://www.pbxinaflash.org/piafrepo As Ward mentioned you may want to try the PIAF3 install instead.

SOLVED piaf 20650 install not working

    darmock wardmundy It seems that due to today's repository cleanup (piaf6-64 --> piaf6-64.old, piaf6 --> piaf6.old, etc.), there are now errors during a fresh PIAF3 install: --2015-04-10 20:49:26-- http://www.pbxinaflash.org/piaf6-64/files/patch174.tgz Resolving www.pbxinaflash.org...

GO HERE Where are my backups living?

Robert.Thompson That Default_backup folder contains the backup files from the monthly "Default Backup" as configured in your "Backup and Restore" GUI in FreePBX. If I remember correctly, the default backup only contains the database and a few other things, it is not a complete backup. You will...
