Mute on Join I believe you can: go into FreePBX, click on "Conferences" (under the Setup tab) select the conference number (on the right side) then at/near the bottom there is a menu item for "Mute on Join" - set it to YES submit and apply

Solved my problem. Sent the cpu back, got another Lenovo (looks just like it) but does not have the e100 network driver. Works like a champ.
