Apologies - my 7940's have nat=yes. But curiously - my 7971's have nat=no. Better restart one and see what happens....

change Nat=yes for onsite phones

remove the user pin number for the conference if you dont want them to enter a code. Go to var/lib/asterisk/sounds to see the recorded prompts.

Dad311, check the levels for your pots interface here if using dhadi etc/asterisk/chan_dhadi.conf. Adjust your rx and tx gain until you get a better balance between volume and echo.

where are you sending inbound calls on line 2 ? Set up your IVR and send them to that first. When thats working, in the IVR have it time out to your aastra phone

dyndns is pretty good for dynamic IP so you should be all good there. does your endian support dyndns ? can you not use Piaf to manage your sip connections and take the endian out of the equation ?

no avantfax web access have followed the tutorial, iax modems installed and show as peers. hylafax server webmin module installed and working. when browsing to pbxip/avantfax i get 404 error. Looking in var/www/html there is no avantfax directory ??? any ideas ? TIA

Markb1439, check the basics first. Have you checked DND or any forwarding options for the extns you have problems with ? Users will and do play with their phones are the ringers switched on ?

Record "which conference do you want ?" in system recordings. Set up however many conferences you want. Set up a ddi going to an ivr. Set the conferences up in your ivr - X for conference X or whatever. Keep the default conference settings in Free PBX but add a pin number per conference.

Have you set up more than 1 line on each phone to allow them to do this ? Perhaps a queue would work better for you especially in busy times.

Which nic is your LAN ? Is this the one your local phones are connecting to ? Does IPtables know about the LAN nic ? Did you use webmin to configure both nics ? A network diagram may help.

Use call forward busy in the feature code admin - *90 then your extn and # then the extn no you want calls to go to and #. Tell your users to put something like" I'm currently on a call, please leave a message" voicemail is activated straight away when busy. Don't give some users VM or forward...
