New install of 1.2 (32 bit) admin is unavailable. I get
Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /admin on this server.
Apache/2.2.3 (CentOS) Server at ...

I ran update-fixes and scripts, but no help

Bart

OK, I applied changes after removing my efforts and access is now allowed

Hi

I've just run a fresh install to check this out, and I do not have the same error. The install was perfect.

Can you give any information on what commands you have run since install which may affect this area?

OK, Ive replicated the same error, by running password master.

The TEMPORARY FIX to get you working, until we can check the ramifications of the fix, and check that it is secure is as follows: -

edit etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf

goto line 328

find the line that says " AllowOverride all" and replace "all" with "none" so it should say "AllowOverride none" without the inverted commas.

save it

then at the command line, type:-

service httpd restart

Then try and enter the admin screen again, check that it asks you for a password.

apache and htaccess issues are not an area I am in expert in, especially as I use FreePBX in database mode, so I can let PBX owners in with limited access to look at CDR, and allow Debbie on Reception to print out the extension list, and add names and numbers to the phone book, without screwing up trunks etc, so this is just a quick fix for anyone who has run passwd-master and cannot get in to admin, until we get a tested solution to you for the official release.

Change didn't help me. However, I did fool around with this prior to the post, so I might have broke something else before hand

I also installed 1.2, ran the master password script, and found the same "Forbidden..." problem.

I followed jroper's suggestion, and now have access.

Thanks, Joe!
