In keeping with the PBX in a Flash promise, here is the third in the Nerd Vittles script collection. In about 5 seconds, it installs the Worldwide Weather Forecasts application on PBX in a Flash systems only. Then just dial 612 from any phone on your system and enter the 1-digit code to get a current weather report for the international city of your choice.

If you'd like to test this (do it only once!!), log into your PBX in a Flash server as root and issue the following commands:
    Code:
    [COLOR=black]cd /root
    w-g-e-t http://bestof.nerdvittles.com/applications/weather-world/weatherworld.pbx
    chmod +x weatherworld.pbx
    ./weatherworld.pbx
    amportal restart
    [/COLOR]

    Ward,

I tied the international script and when you dial the three letter code it starts D/L report after one digit was entered.

    Thanks,

    Jeff

Jeff, Take a look at the documentation. This app works with one-digit codes for various cities around the world. You can define the 10 cities for your own system although a number of cities come preconfigured. 0 is Tokyo. Here are the rest:
    1. Washington
    2. Berlin
    3. Florence
    4. Gough Island
    5. London
    6. Moscow
    7. Sydney
    8. Toronto
    9. Zurich

Any news as of yet as to whether the code in the worldwide weather report is repaired (im referring to the 32 degrees f. bug where everything is greater than etc. etc.) Please be so kind as to post if/when you repair that.

You know... it's almost spring in most of the U.S. I've got about 500 pending projects and, between now and next winter, NOAA will probably change their code two or three more times. So... don't expect a fix any time soon. When the temp gets above 32 degrees Centigrade, the problem goes away.

wow, thats like 90degrees! Rarely reaches that temperature where i am.... by the way, isnt that script in conjunction with channel 4 in UK???? ...and will it automatically fix itself when they "repair" that or will i need to download and re-install it from somewhere. Im happy to do the legwork on that if you point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance.

That's 32 degrees Fahrenheit not Centigrade, i.e. above freezing.
