Can this be used in lieu of the build-in MOH on something like FreePBX or Wazo?

Not without some custom code because there's no way to get the call back once it's forwarded to one of these extensions. The MusicOnHold module supports streaming, but that is handled by external streaming apps. I don't think there is current functionality in the code to support dial-up music on hold sources.

Hmm I thought that if the MOH was set at the trunk level, and MOH was disabled then VOIPMS MOH would take priority.

As long as it's the VoIP.ms trunk, I think you're correct. I just meant you couldn't do it by dialing an extension. But setting it on the VoIP.ms end should work fine as long as it's disabled locally.
