Hi All,

I'm new to the forum and have been searching for the answer but no joy with any suggestions so far! I know its frowned upon but i'm aiming to let my users log into the user panel to access their call recordings/voicemail. Historically i have just deleted the ari.conf file which worked but in recent years ive seen it change to pbx.conf. I cant find either of those in httpdaccess now which i assume is because of the introduction of the UCP. Ive created a user in user management but it doesn't matter what i do all i get is restricted area!!!

There is something I'm missing I'm sure, and im sure someone will tell me its obvious but at this moment in time it will be greatly received!

Its running on centos 6.7 and im using Incredibe pbx 11-12.2

Please help

Hi
update:  You mean to access the UCP on the incredibleGUI which takes the extension number eg 701 as username and the voicemail password which is shown in the GUI -
Server Admin

You aren't perhaps referring to linux 'Users and Groups' ;
OR the dialog under Admin/Administrators which refers to 'add users' on the Add Administrators dialog (for adding server admins).

Server Administration / Extensions tab and in the dialog for example
Extension: 701 Under Voicemail / Voicemail Password where 'Display Name' for default extension 701 is '701' although ?prompt says to 'only enter the name not the number'

Sorry I've not been using named User in user management - in fact I cannot see "User Management" anywhere on the iGUI of my iPBX.

I think the place to put the username would be in the Extensions dialog for
Display Name: for extensions 701 , 703 etc and the password therefore is the Voicemail Password.

The following is not therefore relevant as I went off at a tangent but "passwords.FAQ" explains.

I had assumed you mean the kennonsoft menu (user) showing 4 icons that point to links
http://iPBX-IP/recordings
http://iPBX-IP/meetme
http://iPBX-IP/reminders
http://iPBX-IP/asteridex4

Please read the file passwords.FAQ to be found either in webmin file manager under /root
OR fire up a bash console, log in as root and enter the following (leave out 'sudo' if you are root)
Code:
cd /root
sudo cat passwords.FAQ
The last two lines say "You can create one or more additional accounts for AsteriDex & Reminders access.
To create other accounts: htpasswd -b /etc/pbx/wwwpasswd username userpassword"
Don't forget to substitute your chosen username userpassword ; pair. So to do that
login with root password
Code:
htpasswd -b /etc/pbx/wwwpasswd your-users-name your-users-password

Enjoy
