QUESTION Team Mailbox

Hi,

I created an IVR that have an option to leave a message to a team mailbox (etc, Sales). How can i create that in FreePBX?

New Extension -> device type = none. You can configure a mailbox in here and then use the mailbox as an IVR destination.

billsimon, i can't find device type = none in Freepbx GUI. is this something that i have to type in a config file? if yes, which file?

It's in the GUI. I'm looking at FreePBX 2.11. Applications -> Extensions gives you the Add an Extension screen. In the Device pull-down, I have five choices, one of which is "none (virtual exten)."

Additionally, if you email voicemails you can set the email address to "TheTeam" and create an /etc/alias line to correspond to each member of the team and have them all get the VM.
