Hey Script Kiddies...
This feature could be called the WifeSaver.
She has this notorious habit of not answering the phone if she does not know who is calling.
Yes, caller id. Yah, caller name, but only on SIP phones or ATA devices connected to the PBX (some are going to her cell.)
So, I was thinking... always dangerous...
Rather an a FreePBX mod, how could I generate a TTS message on an incoming call, and use it as the prompt message for the Confirm Calls remote announce message? So, when a call comes in to the ring group and you answer, it says "Hello, John Doe is calling. Press 1 to accept or 2 to trash it."
Even if the CNAM module says "Anonymous" or "FooTown, AR" or whatever, she will still have more info.
