TUTORIAL T46G Registration Problems

Hi Fellas,

I've been troubleshooting an odd issue with one of my extension not registering properly (despite using the correct username and password). The extension is 201 and the device is a Yealink T46G, but I'm using YATE to troubleshoot the registration problem. My Yealink will not register (keeps saying unauthorized) But, YATE (given the same credentials, eventually will). I have to keep retrying to register and it will eventually work.

My specifics:
Vitelity Hosted Server
Vitelity Trunks
YATE (in place of my Yealink t46G)

My connection:
Comcast Residential
pfSense router
SIP devices

Any ideas?

Okay, so hours and hours of troubleshooting... it is working!

I have the newest firmware for the T46G and the OSS Endpoint manager does not seem to provision it correctly. So, I configured it manually. My steps were to reset to defaults, then at the "Account" tab, to enter the extension number at each of the four lines under the line "Line Active = Enabled." Add the extension password, and then leave everything at default until you reach the SIP Server 1 section. I added my IP and the bumped up the number of server retries. Then, under the "Advanced" subtab to the left, I added the following:
SIP Session Timer T1 (0.5~10s) 1
SIP Session Timer T2 (2~40s) 4
SIP Session Timer T4 (2.5~60s) 5

Finally, under the "Settings" tab, then the "Time & Date" subtab to the left, I changed my "Time Zone" to EST, and left the rest default. Then, I went back to my Account and enabled it and it registered almost instantly!

So, I don't know why exactly that makes it work, but I hope that might help someone. Also, I still didn't figure out the YATE thing, but my Yealink is working so I am happy.
