I noticed a tweet from Sipgate to say UK residential sign-ups were temporarily suspended so I did some digging.
It seems according to other forums they sent an email to their Sipgate Basic residential subscribers they were closing the service from 31/12/14 and all services would be pulled by 31/1/15. Then it seems not many people got this email, then the people who got it were told don't worry it's being restructured and wouldn't be closed after all.
I am not sure what their restructured service will look like, I am hoping not too different as the choice for VOIP providers in the UK is pretty slim as it goes. For now at least the service isn't going anywhere.
