I've been toying with setting up a baby monitor conference tonight and got it all working. The one thing that bothered me was what if I'm dialled into a conference, sat watching TV with that on in the background - am I going to notice that soft little beep these handsets produce when there's a call waiting? Probably not.
So I started playing around. Here's something others might find helpful, particularly if you're going to use the handset as a baby monitor through conferencing.
Edit your sep<mac>.config and look for the line
This tells the handset to beep if a call's already in progress. If you want the phone to ring like it would normally, change the 5 to a 4. I'm not sure what 1-3 does but have a try and report back if you like.

Code:
<ringSettingActive>5</ringSettingActive>
