I would like to let you know that we have brand new Dallas node available. This node, based on its location, may serve our south/southwest member better. Atlanta Node is Available

I just want to introduce our a new node available in Atlanta, GA.

This node has latency of 2ms or less to Voip.ms and Broadvoice SIP gateways in Miami and Atlanta. It has many sub 20ms to SIP provider with East Coast presence. In addition, it has countless of sub 50 ms latency to SIP provider from East to West Coast USA.

Baltimore Node

We have another node open up in Baltimore. This node should be interchange-able with our New Jersey node. It has similar latency characteristic to our New Jersey node.

We open this node due to growing number of our customer that has multiple sever with us. We would like to have the option for our customer to be able to diversified their the location of their server without sacrificing the latency quality.

In addition, in this node we are able to offer 400MB RAM upgrade for $5/month. With a total of 800MB RAM + 400MB Page, it is plenty of power to run PIAF Purple without loosing any sleep.

Does RentPBX offer end user config support? (not for Asterisk but the actual extension user)

Adventures with Purple and Incredible 2.0

I have been trying to get my Purple version up and running. Of course, I want to be on the cutting edge, so I first installed the rentpbx specific version. After that was in place, I then tried to move up to 2.0, and am wondering if that screwed things up.

I noticed that the ssh stuff was hosed. Not a big deal, and easily repairable. The next issue I noticed was that my external extension were not able to authenticate. Other little annoying issues, which makes me wonder if the Incredible 2.0 doesn't play nicely with the stock purple that comes up with rentpbx?

Nevertheless, Bill and other tech support folks have been stellar...

I wonder if someone has managed to receive faxes on their rentpbx.com hosted PIAF

Hi Kim, If you run a non RentPBX script, I would check the predefined extension 70x has permit field configured. If it is, set it back to 0.0.0.0 for allow everyone to connect to the pbx. You also need to check your whitelist in your iptables. Please make sure that the ip that you are connecting from is in the list.

We have a few customer runs fax functionality with asterisk in our platform. However, as with fax, depending the route that you go with (T.38 or non T.38, which SIP provider that you use), The fax page may not be as clear as you like. You can try our service for 7 days. We have money back guarantee within that period. You can use that time to try the fax solution.

I believe I can live without fax.
In case it doesn´t work I can pay an efax.com account with the savings.
I will place an order in some minutes, as soon as I find the coupon.

However I still can´t decide which PIAF distro to choose.
