I've been here for about 14 hours so far today. Had to put the old stuff back on as I thought I might. Will have to come back up here again to deal with the final solution (whatever that is). I appreciate your thoughtful reply!

I'm quite willing to test for you. I can do ISDN BRI (S/T interface) here, and I have access to U interface locations as well. None of the issues that I've run into with the DAHDI tool have been card specific (we use several types). I created a lab that allows me to bomb a box with 96 TDM calls at a time. I was easily able to crash a box with SQLite still enabled. It's a question of call timing rather than quantity it appears. There seem to be differences in the 32 and 64 bit versions, with the 32 bit being more stable.

Right now I'm trying to get MG2 working on the Zaptel. It used to work by default, but finding any information on syntax is proving to be difficult. There are few example files online, but lots of old (and DAHDI) noise.

I appreciate that, and almost did that. Though I must tell you, at this point I'm now questioning everything. For the past few weeks, we've been testing Green (at the kind suggestion of Mr. Mundy) and had good results, as well as making the old "Gold" work again as it's well proven to run with high call volume.

JoeTalbot: Appreciate all of your comments. Unfortunately, in the DAHDI World, we're little more than a pass through. We simply don't have the resources to test, debug, and deliver a reliable solution on our own. As you probably know, the DAHDI module was primarily developed by a company that makes a (sizable) living off sale of their hardware. Tony & Co. (Andrew & James especially) have attempted to tame the beast, but... if you think SIP is the Wild Wild West, then let me introduce you to DAHDI. Hopefully you can document some of what you learned when the dust settles. If you could do some testing for the FreePBX folks, that, of course, would be immensely helpful to future pioneers.

My first attempt at fixing all the issues is published as 2.11.45 enjoy. Let me know whats broken.

Will do! It should be done over the weekend. Many thanks!
Also, Jim Dixon (zaptata) is a fan of the OpenVox cards. We've been using Digium and moved to OpenVox on his recommendation.

I'd like to report that your fix on the Dahdi tool worked (for PRI's at least (I will test for E&M later). I've been SLAMMING the thing (PIAF "green") with traffic (30 calls at a time over a PRI . 30 so that I can see what happens in a 'trunk busy' situation). It ran all night last night like that and, though sluggish, hasn't hickupped. It sure generated a ton of logs though!

I'm about ready to put this on a BETA site at a radio station and see how it does. I expect that it will be solid.

Many thanks for your efforts on the DAHDI tool. Honestly, I got to the point of distrusting everything. Using OpenVox cards for the tests.
I will follow up with the E&M, FXS and FXO tests shortly. I have some customers that need a little love right now....

No Problem. Please let us know if you have any more issues, especially to issues.freepbx.org as always Ward & Co will report any issues to us as well.
