QUESTION Phone displays trunk being used?

Discussion in 'Open Discussion' started by briankelly63, May 24, 2013.

  1. Has anyone set up a system with an appropriate brand of phone and system configuration that had the capability to allow the user to see which trunk (name) that the system used to complete their call (incoming, outgoing or both). I realize you could see that in a number of ways or through the FOP but wondered if anyone had set that up with Asterisk to display ON the phone.

I do it for inbound calls using an inbound route and the CID Prefix on the route. I have never suppressed the inbound number and used only in bound CID Prefix to see if that would be possible. Outbound, not sure how you can do that. I would think that with the outbound data on the phone could be manipulated with the connectedline() command but not sure how you would go about it.
