Good Morning!
We're loving the PIAF on Cu-Box
All's working really well out of the box but I wanted to ask a question regarding patches
When you root in there to any Ubuntu box, you will sometimes see notifications regarding updates

Has anyone updated/patched this version of Ubuntu and what were the results?
No problem or borkage?

Wondering...

Thanks

Just an FYI: The automatic update utility is the only way to keep your system current AND secure. If you don't load the updates, you are asking for serious trouble down the road. There already has been one critically important security patch released on the Ubuntu platform so your system remains vulnerable if you haven't allowed the updates to be pushed out.

Good Morning:
Not the PIAF patches... Those are already done (see below)
ubuntu_001.png

I'm referring to these
ubuntu_002.png

Can I safely do a 'sudo apt-get update'

I've done a drive image so I can get back to where I was before

Just wanted to ask...

Thanks!

Latest upgrade broke MySQL and Asterisk by wiping out loopback interface.

WebMin already is configured to load security patches every week. Let us know if you see the same message a week from now... assuming you've left WebMin running.

18 + 7 days (or .5 fortnight) = 25

"Siri, what was yesterdays date?"

BTW, I really don't own an appl3 product :)

Sounds like a bug in WebMin. If the CuBox isn't directly exposed to the Internet, I'd leave well enough alone with the exception of...

Code:
apt-get clean
apt-get update
apt-get install yum
