I am trying to get my head around OSS Endpoint Manager and auto provisioning for the Cisco/Linksys SPA3102 without much success.

System status:

Date and Time = 201503111215

Asterisk Source Version = 11.7.0
Dahdi Source = 2.8.0.1
Libpri Source = 1.4.14
System Verified = *NOT VERIFIED*
pbx.local on 172.16.0.118 - eth0

PBX in a Flash release 3.6.5 (PIAF3) :64 Bit Kernel: 2.6.32-431.5.1.el6.x86_64

OSS EPM version is up to date (2.11.8) and the firmware on the SPA3102 is 1.4.5(a)

These are the steps taken so far:
  • Added the template for the SPA3102 trough the Endpoint Package Manager.
  • Configured an extension within FreePBX using the mac address of the Spa3102.
  • Rebuilt the configuration files for the SPA3102 in Endpoint Manager which generates 2 files in /tftpboot called SPA3102.cfg & spa<mac-address>.xml
In the SPA3102 the interface I have tried setting the profile rule under the provisioning tab to:
  • t*f*t*p://172.16.0.118/spa$PSN.cfg (/spa$PSN.cfg is default on factory settings)
  • t*f*t*p://172.16.0.118/spa$MA.xml
  • t*f*t*p://172.16.0.118/<mac-address>.xml
  • t*f*t*p://172.16.0.118/spa3102.cfg
None of the above work for me. I know the t*f*t*p server & OSS Endpoint Manager are functioning correctly as i am able to auto provision a bunch of Snom300 phones I have on the same system.
Has anyone got this working that could share the correct string for the profile rule on the SPA3102?
Thanks
Dan

t*f*t*p://172.16.0.118/spa$PSN.cfg is the correct string to auto provision the SPA3102.

After reading through the SPA3102.cfg file it became clear that the phone first boots from this file then re-boots to the spa<mac-address>.xml to auto provision the extension settings etc.
I had been impatient and not allowing the unit time to reboot to the second file and assumed it was not working.
