At this point in time I question why curl&xml are even needed.

libcurl-devel: not available

You might have to add another repository to get this; i don't recall offhand. Some time spent with Google would probably reveal the answer.

So, if I understand correctly, compiling asterisk from source may be required, regardless of what branch you're running, in order to use the CallerID Superfecta module in elastix. (I don't have a test system to try it out on right now, and I can't risk my live system, otherwise I'd try installing the superfecta anyway and seeing what happens...)

I would say that assumption is accurate when talking about current versions of Superfecta. But...

At this point in time I question why curl&xml are even needed.

When a Superfecta developer questions the need for these, I wonder if that means that future versions won't have those requirements!

I don't believe they are required in the 3.x beta.

Edit: Checked again. it definitely doesn't need any of those dependancies

Hi

I would like to share the modification I made for the CanPages source.

The problem was that when looking for a specific residential number and it wasn't found the site return partial matches and I ended up having all sort of result on my phones names from the BC when searching for QC numbers.

I've modified the source to make sure the result for residential is a result for the actual number we searched for and not an approximation. It might not be pretty but it works...

I know 2.2.5 beta 1 is out, but I made this one for 2.2.4 this is why I've put it here. I hope the dev team still come to this thread...

Note: I removed my email address from the comments at the top...

Silly question?

I have superfecta 2.2.5beta1 (which came with my 1.8 install). Sources are the phonebook and whitepages. I've noticed that it seems to be set up to automatically add entries to the phonebook, which I find extremely irritating, since a lot of the callers have stale/garbage CNAM info. I don't see anyway to change this behavior? Or am I just missing something?

Oh sigh, that did it, thanks. Confused me, because I was looking on the superfecta page itself. Thanks again!

Thanks Lorne. It appears to be down more often these days.

By some miracle, colsolgrp was responding for a brief window this morning, but it is down again now. So far I have rescued:
Concurrent Calls
Winunciator
Wakeup Calls

in addition to Superfecta which Andrew got a long time ago. If anyone else knows of a useful project left on that site, let me know and I will try to get it.

I'm continuing to bite my tongue, but folks were warned when this "alternate neutral site" was first being developed. Those that were encouraging it are amazingly quiet these days. :leaving:

I tried to keep current copies for a while but finally gave up. The site was down more than it was up. Some of these apps are included in current versions of Incredible PBX if anyone needs copies. Winunciator also is in the PIAF Source Repo.

Mental note for those contemplating a future project that works with PIAF: We will be happy to host your code unless you'd prefer to put it on GitHub or SourceForge. We've had many, many offers of free hosting services over the years. The situation with colsolgrp explains perfectly why we've resisted.

I must have missed all of that. Can you elaborate?

I would assume that these conversations were over email, because I know for a fact that Lorne and I both warned Tony (tshif) several times over email that his server was very unstable only to get told that he 'never had an issue'. He also never liked giving control of superfecta to anyone but himself. I believe that on github, Lorne, Steven and I all have the same control. Regardless...

When I talked to him about jumping ship to github last year he took it completely personal and thought I was attacking him. Now I know I don't always come off as the 'happiest' person over email, but it's extremely frustrating when the site is up and down.

Doing a simple search on pbxinflash even yields results from '09 when the site was up and down: http://pbxinaflash.com/community/threads/http-projects-colsolgrp-net-working.5586/?t=5586

Searching Tony's name on this forum places his last post around 2-15-2011. That's almost a year ago. I talked to him on the phone during that time and I know he has some serious family issues going on. However shortly after March he dropped off the face of the planet. His last login on colsolgrp was around 10-11-2011, though he never did anything, so I have no idea why he even went on.

I do hope he is well. He was HIGHLY supportive of PBX in a Flash and the community and his contributions are GREATLY appreciated, but the time of colsolgrp.net is definitely over

I must have missed all of that. Can you elaborate?

how about the google caller id used in android kitkat, can that be added as a source to lookup in the superfecta?

how about
We'll consider just about anything - but your description was a little thin of details. I don't remember a preconfigured Google list - Tell me more about it, or direct us to a link with more info -

Holy old thread, Batman. Granted it's two years, but still. There's a more recent CID Superfecta thread here. If you can't find that, just open a new one please.
THANKS!
