Why can't they make a smart watch that looks just like a standard classy wristwatch but that has a screen instead of the watch face and LCD (I currently wear a Casio DBW-30, Gold & Silver colored version)?
The watch buttons (if any) could be the Android control keys or some such.
Yes, the screen wouldn't be as big, but at least it would look nicer than wearing a big plastic rectangle on your wrist.
I really like the idea of a smart watch (especially if it links via BT to your phone and can be used as a speakerphone for calls), but I like my watch to look classy.

Sorry, I don't have a desire to have one of these smart watches. They will make an attractive watch soon but I hope I have enough willpower to resist it and not purchase it.

As much as I like technology, I'm realizing that I don't need the latest and greatest things. sure, the nexus 5 may have a better camera but I don't use my camera on my phone much now; sure it may have a better screen but I'm content with it mine now; sure it may have a loud speaker but often times I'm turning my volume down, not up. I'm not saying I won't buy a new phone and that my samsung galaxy SII skyrocket will be the last but I'm tired of the trend to push new and replace perfectly working technology for only a few improvements. I'm also tired of phone carriers refusing to update phones once they reach a certain age. We know that an inaexpensive android phone of three years ago likely can't run the newest OS but there should be a way to update for security patches.

Do you think smart watches will one day have mobile connectivity outside on bluetooth to your phone? I do and people will be foolish enough to have a monthly subscription for their phone and watch!

I know I have a birthday on Saturday but I'm sounding OLD!!

Wow - if you could do wireless charging up to 100M ... you could license that out to EVERYONE and make a bloody fortune. I can't even imagine the technology that could make that happen.

The problem with wireless power has always been that it's open to anyone to grab. That's why Tesla got his funding pulled, and also why it's likely to only ever be a short range technology.

No - I saw what can be done with the OLED and the large flexible screen ... so I won't be accepting these second class models and plan to hold out for another year till they do it right.

I heard there are a lot of continuing complications with the iWatch. If I pick one up, it won't be the first gen device.
