OK, I am seeing a minor glitch in this. I installed this firstly, doing the freepbx 2.9 update before the incrediblepbx2 install, and it wouldn't work.

I have since reinstalled, and have left it at 2.8 freepbx.

I am placing calls and they "ring and ring and ring" and do not answer... If I place a call to an 800 number, I get an "all circuits are busy".

huh? ANy ideas.

Another semi related "issue".

I user google voice accounts that have a naming syntax something like [email protected]

THis installs fine through the Incrediblepbx2 installer (and, I presume, the google voice, freepbx module) . However, if I go to make changes to the routes, it tells me that the route name is invalid.

Any chance that the google voice account in question resembles an extension of your piaf server?
Explanation:
Around Feb-Apr 2011 I had similar issues when using the default extension number values that came preloaded with piaf+incredblepbx (extensions 700-715) along with google voice accounts that contained "700" to "715" in the name.
Examples of an unreliable google account username:
[email protected]
[email protected]
[email protected]
I then came across a nerdvittles tutorial/article that instructed to set up a "dedicated" google voice account with a username & password that DOES NOT use a(ny) non-alphanumeric character(s). Fearing some sort of ophcrack-type account hack, I tested non-alphanumeric characters to better understand specifically why nerdvittles issued this instruction.

After some quick testing, I determined that "." will work AS LONG AS IT IS NOT used with an extension number string.
Examples of working google account username:
[email protected]
I even tested accounts with two "." and they worked. Example:
[email protected]

Since then I've reconfigured my installs to NOT keep the default extension number values (for security, not for bugs) and to NOT use google accounts with either default or ANY NEW extension numbers contained in the username (for bugs).

This may explain your issue if your piaf extension number(s) resemble(s) your google account-name(s).
Hope this helps!

No, as I mentioned, it's a Myname.talk or myname.voice - nothing in there about extension numbers.

Just thought that this might have been missed - how does one go about debugging gtalk calls that don't answer.

If calls aren't being delivered :confused5: then the issue usually is a result of Gtalk running under the same account on another device somewhere (typically a PC). That's why we've always recommended a dedicated Google Voice number for Incredible PBX and PIAF.

Nope, dedicated accounts, logged in to check settings, but that was all, and then logged out.

aha. Found it - for some reason the "google chat" option under Google voice settings had become "disabled" on two separate lines. THis was turned on a day or two before the reinstall. Perhaps Google change it, if they see some particular abscence of connectivity or somesuch.

Latest Incredible PBX 2 Beta is Ready

Looking for a few brave souls to try out the latest Incredible PBX 2 beta. This version works with the latest PIAF-Purple running Asterisk 1.8.5 or PIAF-Red running Asterisk 10. It also reworks Google Voice support (now optional) using the new Google Voice FreePBX module by Marcus Brown and also adds tm1000's new Swiss Army Knife module as well as the EndPoint Manager.
  1. Create one or more Google Voice accounts with Google in the usual way (see below).
  2. Install PIAF-Purple with Asterisk 1.8.something
  3. Download & Run incrediblepbx2.x
  4. Open FreePBX. Choose Admin, Google Voice and add one (or more) GV accounts. username is just that, no @gmail.com! (see example below)
  5. Log into your server from Linux CLI as root and issue command: amportal restart
  6. For the time being, you may need to run a Google Voice patch to fix outbound calling. Try a call first! If the outbound call fails, apply this patch.

To make Outbound Calls, dial any 10-digit number in U.S./Canada (free!)

To receive Incoming Calls, connect a phone or softphone and enter your credentials for one of the preconfigured extensions.

I'm a willing participant ... does this work with 1.8.3.3? ... or has the Cisco and Polycom issue been resolved with this release of Asterisk? ... in which case I'd rather load 1.8.5 :)

Thanks!

Unless someone knows something we don't, it's been addressed.

No problem installing, I took a chance on asterisk 10 with the RED version, Google voice is working after installing the patch.

Code:
cd /root
wget http://pbxinaflash.com/gvoice819patch
chmod +x gvoice819patch
./gvoice819patch

But the best news is I have managed to install incrediblefax bypassing the 1.8 restriction and I can confirm that so far is working great with outgoing Gvoice faxes, it is still a hit and miss for incoming faxes using Gvoice.

Great job

Thank You

I am sure Ward wil be fixing the icrediblefax.sh for RED version soon.
