I am making progress... although not seamless.

Got two GV accounts in - just going to set up some extensions, then update freepbx to 2.9, and add a third gv account and then should be rocking and rolling. (then to get faxing working...)

I'd stick with FreePBX 2.8 for the time being but YMMV. ;)

You will need to allow PIAF to answer the call then in your extension (example 701) configure follow me settings to ring your cell at the same time as your extension, or configure extension 501 which should be in your ringall group to forward to your cell number. I believe this will give you results you are looking for. There are also ways to configure your system to use your GV voice mail if you don't answer, but I haven't played with that in a few month as it was a need of mine.

Yes, that should work. I was just hoping to avoid a work around fix.

I know there must be a simple way because my older PIAF rings without picking up the GV call until I actually pick up the phone on PIAF, or on my cell phone which rings at the same time. The old way works for cell phone calls without using DSL bandwidth for 2 calls, and would even work if my PBX / internet was down.

And I would prefer to let GV handle voicemail. GV transcripts work pretty well and I like the fact that GV voicemail is a no hassle setup that is more reliable than depending on my home PBX and internet to be online 24/7.

btw status reports for pbx in flash version "1.7.5.6 Running on *HARDWARE*

Does this mean it doesn't know or what?

Sigh I could not come up with anything better! It means that it thinks PIAF is running on Real hardware and not in a virtualized system. I think I wrote that at 3 in the morning

What would you suggest? I have a limited number of characters I can place on one line.

NOT VIRTUALIZED

Just my opinion

Stick with an old version? I thought you said pioneers...

2.9 is in and appears to be fully operational so far.

Problem is, when you're pioneering multiple new products at the same time, it's more difficult to find the problem if/when something comes unglued.

*Physical Machine* or *Non-Virtualized* works too

Oh and I fixed my NIC issues. IP address conflict with Static vs DHCP assigned IP. :(
Incredible PBX 2 is installing now. Will report how it works! :)

This question is probably a "no brainer," but just to make sure, and to help others just starting out:
Can we load Incrediblepbx 2 on a system already running Incrediblepbx 1.x?
If we cannot, is there a way to uninstall the old Incrediblepbx in order to install the newer version?
Is it necessary to install Incrediblepbx 2 on a fresh new PIAF install?

Thanks

Just a Noob's question.
Assume that I set multiple gtalk accounts as multiple trunks and one user is already using the first trunk. When second user want to make outbound calls, will his call automatically using the next trunk? Sorry if this question has been asked before. Thanks

Asterisk 10

Loaded it in Proxmox VE as a KVM using your ISO. sems to work fine. I had GV working and setup up my 5 polycom 501 phones without any trouble. Need to take out voice and re-add as all it says now is that the number is busy. but I was tinkering around and probably broke that. in a virtual world it only takes a little while to load up. I need to make a backup of the base install so I wont have to wait for the payload to download if I reload PIAF RED

Nevermind! I got it. I'm the idiot (noob)!

One quick question. Does the username in the google voice account need the @gmail.com like Wards original script did?

If you are talking about entering the credentials using the Google Voice FreePBX module, no. For whatever reason, it auto-adds @gmail.com to the address entered which IMO is very stupid.
WARNING <rant>
Some people, like me, have Google Apps accounts which work just fine with Voice and always have. That little addition makes me have to go edit the files and remove the @gmail.com after @[email protected] entry. :(
</rant>
But anyway - just put the username in the field if you have a @gmail.com address.

Or just do what I did, go out and register 5 free gmail accounts, set them up with google voice, then spend months trying to make sense of implementing multi-gvoice service in the middle of NAT issues and monthly google-controlled config changes... fun!
IncrediblePBX 2.0 looks like it may finally solve one of my major headaches - the multi-gvoice migraine - but first I think I'll install on a test-machine ;) and report back how it goes.
Is this forum-thread the place to post (if any!) bugs?
Thanks Guys
