I notice that whenever I have an Internet outage, internal calls on my system fail as well.

I can still log in to my FreePBX 2.9 system using its LAN IP (192.168.0.254), but I can't make calls from one extension to another.

I found this thread, but it's rather old so I'm wondering if it's still relevant: http://pbxinaflash.com/community/in...en-internal-calls-allowed-is-this-normal.245/

My trunk is simply voip.ms, and my phones are Mitel 5224 IP phones.

Change all voip.ms trunks to use IPs instead of FQDN, same with anything else on your system that uses FQDN.

This is relevant until FreePBX 12 and Asterisk 12 (Using PJSIP), it's fixed then.

I see... so in my case, in my PEER details and Register String of my voip.ms trunk, I should change the host (chicago.voip.ms for me) to whatever IP that resolves to?
