QUESTION IAx trunk for raspberry pi ?

Is it secure to set up an IAx trunk from a pi to another PBX or VoIP supplier ?
I've only done between fixed IP address's before

Ok I think I can answer my own question,
You can't set up a secure trunk sip or IAX unless you create a VPN to a secure site with a VPN... Using your very excellent tutorial Ward ... ?

But how ... ? am I getting this right ?
